There are two types of people that are in need of a lot of help right now when it comes to internet marketing. Which one are you?

1. The newbie who is trying to figure out what to do first.

2. The intermediate marketer who is stuck trying to make something work.

One of the biggest mental challenges that makes getting started so hard is trying to get it perfect on the first try.

I have to admit, I wish I could’ve gotten it right on the first try, but the truth is that until you try a few times and get some results you really won’t know what to do or how to do it.

That’s why I’ve outlined a very simple strategy for you below that will not only help you to start developing your internet marketing muscle, but will also help you to become more decisive and action oriented.

For the newbie just getting started this strategy will help you to get your feet wet and for the more experienced marketer this strategy will help you to focus on getting something done on a consistent basis.

Before I layout this strategy let me tell you why it works.

Because of the overwhelming amount of pressure that many of us are facing when it comes to desperately finding a way out of our own personal financial crisis, the amount of time that we have is already limited.

You’re probably working a full time job or two just to make ends meet and the thought of trying to learn something new in an effort to ease the situation just seems impossible. After all, where do you find the time?

Finally, you don’t want to start investing money that you may not have into something that might not work, right?

O.k. so here’s why this works, it’s because there is no real negative consequence that can be associated with the actions you’re about to take. The method doesn’t cost anything to implement and  you don’t have to invest more than 30 minutes to a half hour to do it.

You don’t even have to do it everyday if you don’t want to, BUT once you start to see some results, you’ll probably want to give more attention to it.

AND NOW… The method

Pick a topic that you don’t mind writing some short articles about. By short I mean 300 – 400 words.

Go to Google and access their free keyword research tool and get 4 or 5 keywords that are getting at least 1000 – 5000 searchers per month.

Create a blog using Blogger.com (don’t worry it’s free). Try to incorporate one of your keywords into the title and description of your blog.

This should take you all of 5 minutes to do. Next you’re going to need to something to promote so you can make some money if it works out.

You can go to Clickbank or Payspree.com and find one or two related products that you can promote within the content you’re going to publish.

Depending on the topic of your blog and the product/s you’re promoting, go to Ezine articles and type in one of your keywords to find content that fits the subject of your blog and rewrite them in your own words.

Once you’ve rewritten the article place it on your blog. Try to use your keyword at least two to three times within your article and create a hyperlink from your keyword to the product your promoting.

Write at least 6 to ten articles and then start promoting your blog. You can write short simple articles and promote via free article directories. Make sure to put a link at the end of your article that leads back to your blog.

You can also do some social bookmarking. If you’re more advanced than you can use other traffic generation tactics if you know them, but the key is to get into the habit of starting and finishing a project.

Remember that I said earlier, you’re under no real pressure to see a high return on investment because the only thing you’re investing is just a few minutes a day to get your feet wet.

You still have your job so money will still be coming in, but now you’ll begin to develop your marketing muscle based on real hands on experience.
